The University of Queensland’s International Admissions team has been named “best admissions office” in an international award.

The 2013 IDP Singapore Award for Best Admissions Office recognises UQ’s improved application turnaround times and exceptional customer service to prospective international students.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) Dr Anna Ciccarelli congratulated the International Admissions team on its achievement.

“The team has worked very hard this year, and it’s great to see their work being acknowledged by our agents,” she said.

IDP Singapore – one of UQ’s agent representatives for international students – provides annual international awards to the best admissions officer, best marketing officer, best academic, best brochures and best admissions team.

IDP Singapore Country Director Daryl Fong said it had been a challenging year, but a great one to work with the UQ International Admissions team.

“We hope the award for the Best Admission Office comes with an encouragement that will go a long way in thanking and recognising the team's effort,” he said.

“The UQ Admissions team has been able to provide sterling service to Singaporean students who seek to study at UQ.

“The team was able to provide excellent turnaround times both at peak and off-peak periods.”
