Access to The University of Queensland St Lucia campus will be limited over the G20 long weekend.

The campus has been named a G20 Declared Area by Queensland Police. The campus is not closed, but some areas are considered a secure zone and police will have extra powers in these areas. Additionally, there will be changes to multiple campus facilities, including roads, footpaths, buildings, parking and transport options. Information on these will be updated as it becomes available.

All closures expected to cease by 5pm Saturday.

ROAD CLOSURES

The following roads will be closed from 4pm Friday, with no parking from midnight, Thursday. Vehicles parked on the below roads are at risk of being towed from 4pm Friday.

  • Blair Drive
  • Union Road
  • University Drive
  • Sir William Macgregor Drive (between the Boat Shed and Thynne Road)
  • Campbell Road

The following parks will be closed from midnight Thursday:

  • Oval 4 car park

  • Multi-level car park 1
  • Mill Rd car park

  • Keith St car park – partial closure, with restricted areas closed from midnight Thursday.
