Campus tours, entertainment and general and academic information sessions will be highlights of the UQ Ipswich campus annual open day event tomorrow, Wednesday, August 24.
Members of the public are invited to attend to discover different programs available for study at the campus.
Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Alan Rix said UQ Ipswich offered students a personalised learning environment based on UQ’s tradition of teaching excellence and graduate outcomes.
With sweeping views of Ipswich and environs, the extensive and picturesque campus celebrated its 10th year of operation in 2009.
UQ Ipswich is the home of the new UQ College which offers a broad range of programs to associate degree level.
The UQ Ipswich Campus also delivers a quality medicine program, an all new paramedic program and is the only UQ campus that teaches undergraduate nursing and midwifery.
Today there are around 1800 students enrolled at the Ipswich campus in areas including arts, health sciences, medicine, physicians' assistants, nursing and midwifery.
Students enjoy the personalised learning environment as well as the ease of access to teaching staff and high tech facilities in their learning.
With small class sizes and a community spirit, it’s up close and personal education.
