Over $36,000 will be given away at The University of Queensland Ipswich campus' first official Scholarships and Prizes Presentation next week.

In recognition for their outstanding academic achievements, over 20 UQ students will share the money in the form of scholarships, bursaries and prizes.

'The awards are testament to the community's commitment to the University and allow us to celebrate our students outstanding academic achievements.

'The various awards have been generously donated by a number of individuals, organisations and businesses within the Ipswich community who recognise and support the unique teaching environment at UQ Ipswich,' Campus Manager Mr Warren Kerswill said.

For $22 members of the public can attend the presentation and cocktail reception. It will take place on Tuesday April 10 at 6:30pm in the Refectory Centre at UQ's Ipswich campus.

The event will coincide with the launch of the first two prints in a series of UQ Ipswich Campus limited edition prints by local artist Stella Gibbs.
