- n line with the International Women’s Day (IWD) 2021 theme #ChooseToChallenge, the WII annual event theme is Women Leading #ChooseToChallenge and will showcase the inspirational stories and journeys of successful women across STEMM leadership.
Women in Imaging 2021 will hear the journeys of special guest speakers in research and clinical practice, followed by open discussions and networking opportunities over canapés and drinks.
When: Wednesday, 10th March, 5.30 - 7.30 pm
Location: Terrace Room (Building 14), The University of Queensland, St Lucia
Cost: Free
The first hour will include a series of 10-15 minute presentations from our speaker panel. The panel will be discussing a range of topics including:
*How can we encourage, support or promote women in STEMM: challenging gender bias and inequity
*Skills and mentorship that has helped them and challenges overcome
*Forging your way as a woman in science/business (trials, tribulations, successes): useful tools going forward in STEMM

- Professor Linda Richards, Professor of Neuroscience and former Deputy Director (Research), Queensland Brain Institute and UQ Faculty of Medicine
- Vanessa Barclay, Medical Imaging - Metro North Hospital and Health Service
- Dr Sue Keay, CEO - Queensland AI Hub
