Full Description:: Creativity is at the heart of solving problems, and is a core part of design thinking that is used in the Ventures program. This workshop will take attendees through the design thinking process as a key tool to solve problems and build an entrepreneurial mindset. Design thinking is based on empathy and understanding the needs of the user or customer. The process promotes a range of ways to encourage the creativity and imagination needed to generate a wide range of ideas and possibilities, and fast and cost effective ways to create and test prototype solutions. In this session we will briefly discuss the principles of design thinking, show some examples of how we use design thinking within Ventures. We will wrap it up with a group exercise so participants can design a design challenge related to UQ Voice results.
