Event Description
- Full Description:
- ASPinS Alumni and ASPinS staff (past and present) are invited to join us to reflect on influential experiences, reconnect with alumni and staff, and consider the impact of this program as the final cohort graduates in 2019.
In 2002, 36 high achieving students were invited to participate in the inaugural Advanced Study Program in Science (ASPinS) at The University of Queensland (UQ). The purpose of ASPinS was to expand the scientific horizons of undergraduate science students, offer interactions with leading researchers and insight into research culture, and introduce a range of scientific fields and career paths to the scientists of the future.
Since then, around 300 bright and promising students have participated in ASPinS. As the program draws to a close, we invite you to celebrate ASPinS and the lasting effect the program has had on the careers of so many, and on science education at UQ.
Registration is essential by visiting the Event Website link
Kind regards, Associate Professor Joanne Blanchfield, Dr Michael Bulmer, Associate Professor Sandie Degnan, Ms Robyn Evans
