Event Description

Full Description:
This week, the 2017 HMNS Seminars series will include two talks;

A/Prof Glen Lichtwark from HMNS will present a talk titled “Microendoscopy: A new tool for understanding muscle microstructure and adaptation”. This presentation is focused on collaborative work with Stanford University, where the team has used a groundbreaking, minimally invasive, microendoscopy imaging technique to measure human sarcomere lengths in vivo.

Prof Wendy Brown, from HMNS, will present the second talk called “Taking it seriously and regularly: 300 years of research into physical activity, sedentary behaviour and health”.

This presentation will outline the evidence underpinning the emergence of sedentary behaviour research in the early 21st century and attempt to clarify any confusion about the current physical activity guidelines.

All welcome and no RSVP needed.
