Full Description:: The diary of a Turkish soldier who fought at Gallipoli is a valued item held in the Fryer Library’s collections. On Monday 28 September, the Library will host an event focused on this diary, featuring a lecture by Associate Professor Harvey Broadbent, author of the acclaimed 2015 publication, Defending Gallipoli: The Turkish Story, and producer of the ABC documentary Gallipoli: The Fatal Shore. It is also an opportunity to learn more about the diary from translator Mr Redha Ameur, of the National Centre of Excellence for Islamic Studies, The University of Melbourne.
