Opening of Applications – UQ-FAPESP Strategic Research Fund SPRINT – 2nd Edition 2018

UQ Global Engagement and UQ Research & Innovation is pleased to announce the call for 2018 applications under the FAPESP-UQ SPRINT Strategic Research Fund.

The SPRINT (São Paulo Researchers in International Collaboration) program is an initiative to encourage and promote the advancement of scientific research through the engagement of researchers affiliated with research institutions in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, with researcher partners abroad. The scheme enables UQ researchers to submit joint applications with collaborators from research institutions in the State of São Paulo to support research mobility and exchange, with the aim of developing larger-scale research collaboration between UQ and the partner institution.

SPRINT Scheme Details:
The Call for Proposals is made as detailed in the guidelines for UQ applicants, which can be found on the UQR&I website: http://www.uq.edu.au/research/research-management/uq-fapesp

UQ and FAPESP will each fund up to $10,000 (total maximum $20,000) per successful proposal, for the duration of the grant, to cover research-related mobility expenses for teams of researchers, which may include PhD candidates and early career researchers.

Submission of Applications:
UQ applications, including relevant supporting documents, will be due to UQR&I by 5 pm 30 July 2018. UQ Applications should be emailed to internalschemes@research.uq.edu.au as a single consolidated PDF. Applicants are advised the proposal must also be submitted to FAPESP by the Principal Investigator from the State of São Paulo. The proposed project in each application will be identical.
