Philosophy is part of the School of History Philosophy Religion and Classics within the Faculty of Arts. Philosophy has been part of the curriculum at the University of Queensland since 1911. We teach all major areas of philosophy and our research strengths include: metaphysics, philosophy of logic and language, philosophy of mathematics, philosophy of science, continental philosophy, feminist philosophy, applied ethics, social and political philosophy, decision theory, and history of philosophy.
