About the Museum

The RD Milns Antiquities Museum supports and promotes the study of the Greek, Roman, Egyptian and Near Eastern civilisations through their material remains. It offers a wide range of programs for primary and secondary schools, university courses and the general public, drawing from its collection of over 7000 original objects.

  • Behind the Scenes at the Museum

    This month, James Donaldson, the Museumís resident collections manager shares some of his recent experiences in rehousing our significant collection of fragments for the 2014 stocktake and valuation. Assisted by an army of volunteers and data entry staff, the project is almost complete, meaning that the fragments are stored in high quality, custom built enclosures that will last them for many years and facilitate research and teaching access.
