Speaker: Professor James Gern, Department of Pediatrics and Medicine, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health

Rhinoviruses are the principal cause of the common cold, and cause more significant illnesses for children and adults with chronic respiratory conditions.

This lecture will review factors related to the virus, host, and environment that modify the severity of rhinovirus illnesses, and are likely to affect the risk of lower respiratory symptoms with this virus.
