Full Description:
Two leading immunologists are speakers at this special Frontiers in Science event. Australian of the Year, Professor Ian Frazer, will discuss recent progress in cancer control, particularly focussing on cancers caused by infection in his talk 'Cancer prevention: what's in store'. In the second talk, 'What do we mean by a gene?', Professor David Hume from the IMB and the CRC for Chronic Inflammatory Diseases will talk about the recent advances in decoding the full set of RNAs transcribed from a mamalian genome.

Frontiers in Science is a lecture series primarily for teachers and students. The October session will be held from 4:30 - 7:00pm at the QBP Auditorium. Cost, including supper, is $15. For further details visit the Bright Minds website or contact Ann Meiklejohn. RSVP essential.
