Full Description:
UQ Safe Work Month event:

Be CAP-able: Introducing the AIHS

Capability is about confidence and adaptability as well as the development and effective use of knowledge and skills in complex and changing circumstances, including those that may not have been previously experienced. Capable people have knowledge, skills, self-esteem and values that make them confident in their ability as individuals and in association with others in a diverse and changing society.

So, ask yourself, how capable are you?

In this session, Naomi will introduce how the Australian Institute of Health and Safety (AIHS) is supporting the profession by cultivating the OHS body of knowledge and building strong development framework for OHS practitioners, professionals and leaders. She will discuss the Institute’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program and the how it integrates with the INSHPO Global Capability Framework to provide guidance in setting professional development goals. She will also discuss how the Institute provides opportunities to connect, contribute and learn from each other, in both social and professional settings.

Presenter: Naomi Kemp, Managing Director Safe Expectations
