Event Description

Full Description:
The University of Queensland's School of Communication and Arts and the Asia Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect invite you to attend the Brisbane film screening of China's Artful Dissident. Following the screening we will host a Q&A session with the documentary's protagonist Badiucao himself and documentary film maker Danny Ben-Moshe.

China's Artful Dissident follows Badiucao, a Chinese political artist in exile, on a personal challenge to stop the Communist regime's whitewashing of history and abuse of human rights - and in the process, risking his family's freedom. As the artist plans a major exhibition in Hong Kong, his safety, and the safety of his family, hangs in the balance, as the Chinese authorities close in on his identity.
