Event Description

Full Description:
Dr Jeroen Aeles will present research related to the development of theoretical models (based on experimental data) which showed that each athlete has an individual “optimal” force-velocity profile and that performance can be increased by reducing the imbalance between his/her optimal and actual profile. This offers a valuable tool for coaches and trainers to optimise strength training programs for each individual athlete.

Dr Shelley Keating will present initial findings for the safety and feasibility of a 12-week telehealth-to-home exercise intervention for liver transplant recipients and discuss whether participants are able to reliably self-assess clinical and functional outcome measures unsupervised, in a home-based setting.
