Full Description:
Food is an essential for the survival of living organism. All type of food including vegetables, fruits, sea-foods and animal-foods are vulnerable to deterioration associated with microbiological, chemical and physical changes during postharvest storage. Quality, safety and shelf life extension of either raw or processed food product is the major concern of food industries all over the world, which directly affect the economy of the country. To overcome this problem many food industry frequently used synthetic chemical additives e.g sulfating agents. However, increase consumer awareness and regulatory affair against chemical additives in food have opened new era for natural phytochemical as safe alternative for food additives.
