- Open Access Week is an opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of Open Access, to share what they’ve learned with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation in helping to make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.
UQ Library will host a seminar during Open Access Week that will include presentations that highlight the potential for collaboration between researchers and publishers to facilitate greater availability of research.
Ms Kylie Ahern will present the new open access journal The Science of Learning, published in partnership between the Nature Publishing Group and The University of Queensland. Kylie received her Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland. Following her passion for science, technology and innovation, she co-founded Cosmos Media, a science media house in 2004. She has successfully transitioned a traditional media company into new media. Among other professional engagements is Kylie’s role as one of the Editors of The Science of Learning.
