Full Description:
The School of History, Philosophy, Religion & Classics, together with the Queensland Friends of the Archaeological Institute of Athens, are please to present a free public lecture. Professor Irene Lemos (Reader in Classical Archaeology, University of Oxford) is the annual Visiting Professor for the AAIA. She will be discussing the work and achievements of the craftsmen and artists of Early Greece during the period from 1200 to 700 BCE. She will explore the ceramics, personal ornaments, tools and buildings for the period.
