Event Description

Full Description:
Date: Monday 14 July
Time: 6.30pm
Venue: The Edge, State Library of Queensland
Speaker: Professor Andrew White, The University of Queensland

Professor Andrew White enjoys communicating the weirdness of quantum mechanics while making sure people know just how much fun science really is.

In this public lecture Professor White will lead you through the progress and the pitfalls (or the ups and downs) of quantum computing and cryptography. And he will explain how these machines – that use strange subatomic behaviour – could spark a computer revolution.
