Tobacco smoking is a leading cause of preventable death and disease. More than 3000 Queenslanders die from smoking each year. Quitting can be difficult. About 80% of smokers have tried to quit at least once and it can take multiple attempts. However, support is available and the benefits of quitting start almost immediately.

If you are a smoker, endeavouring to quit is a positive move.
