Course description
This course will be offered as the Level 3 POLS3107 from 2015. Prior to 2015 it was offered as the Level 2 POLS2107. Students who commenced their program prior to 2014 should check with their Faculty to ensure they can obtain credit for the course towards their program. Please note: the course Levels are not interchangeable - if the course is completed as a Level 2 it cannot be credited as a Level 3. This course examines contemporary Queensland politics through the lens of the state's history. It asks the question: 'Is Queensland different from other Australian states?' This question is explored through Queensland's political culture and institutions such as elections, parties, the executive and parliament.
