Course description

This is the 3rd of 6 courses with the overall aim of developing the Registered Nurse standards for practice in students, in addition to students displaying UQ graduate attributes in their practice. During the preceptored clinical experiences, students will have an opportunity to apply the theoretical concepts learned in foundations of nursing practice & the interpersonal, clinical assessment & clinical intervention skills learned in the weekly clinical skills sessions. The focus will be nursing care in a Community, Aged Care, Acute Care or Mental Health practice setting & appreciation of a registered nurse's role in managing complex health problems based on national health priority areas.
