Course description
This course focuses on Low B1 level (Independent User) on CEFR language proficiency scale, especially on developing aural/oral skills (listening and speaking) of Korean language up to High B1 level (Independent User). It introduces real life situations in the Korean context and provides intercultural communication skills through the study of adapted and authentic texts. This course introduces students to a range of new language elements through various topics and real-life language situations in the Korean context. Some of the topics are also discussed in cross-cultural comparison with Australia when applicable. This course is also designed to improve primarily students' communication skills while maintaining balance in the development of speaking/listening, reading, writing, and cultural competence, up to high B1 (Independent User) level.
