How to apply

Early and Mid-Career Industry Fellowship internal Notice of Intent (NoI) process

Researchers intending to submit an ARC Early of Mid-Career Industry Fellowship 2024 application are required to submit a mandatory internal UQ Notice of Intent (open now). NOIs will be collated centrally and distributed to Faculties and Institutes in order to provide maximum support to the UQ research community.

Laureate Industry Fellowship internal nomination process:

Given the competitive nature of the scheme and the limited number of fellowships offered, UQ will determine its applicant field via a mandatory Expression of Interest (EOI) process. EOIs should be submitted using the online Expression of Interest form (closed), and email the Supporting Statement or email of support from Head of Department/School as soon as possible to linkage@research.uq.edu.au.

Step 1. RMS updates and scheme reading

  • Update your full profile in RMS ‘Person Profile’. If any team members are new to RMS and need a login/password, start early.
  • Familiarise yourself with the key Australian Research Council (ARC) and UQ documentation.

Step 2. Completing the application

Step 3. UQ R&I internal review and feedback

  • Ahead of internal review, ensure all online components are complete and valid, generate a whole Application PDF for your records and select 'Submit to Research Office' in RMS to submit the application.
  • To initiate review, email your completed Application Certification Form (see documents below) to UQ R&I at linkage@research.uq.edu.au
  • If lodging a Request Not to Assess, complete the form in RMS  by the internal closing date.
  • Internal review by UQ R&I/feedback provided (compliance/eligibility/grantscraft).

Step 4. Final submission

  • Final submission by UQ R&I to the ARC.
