7 March 2005

University staff and students who use the Dutton Park ferry are advised of traffic disruptions on the Dutton Park side of the river from Saturday, March 12.

Brisbane City Council advises that TJ Doyle Memorial Park Drive will close from March 12, 2005 to December 2006 to ensure the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and motorists during construction of the Dutton Park-St Lucia campus bridge.

The road will be closed between the soccer clubhouse and the southern end of South Brisbane Cemetery.

A temporary bicycle and pedestrian detour will be provided through Dutton Park, away from the construction site.

Motorists are requested to use Fairfield, Annerley and Gladstone Roads as alternative routes during the closure.

Staff and students are requested to plan their trips in anticipation of the altered circumstances.

For questions about the closure please contact the construction information line at 1800 214 387 or email communityfeedback@bigpond.com for further information.
