Menus of the world united when the Gatton International Student Association (GISA) held an international dinner at The University of Queensland’s Gatton campus last week.

Guests brought traditional meals from their home country to share, creating a range of exotic foods.

GISA president Diogo Costa said the night was enjoyable, having both good food and good company.

“The GISA International Dinner last Friday was a tasty adventure,” Mr Costa said.

“People had the opportunity to taste food from around the world with only one common ingredient in all dishes, they were all cooked with love.”

GISA organises events for international students, creating an extended family for students who are far from home.

Domestic students also take part in the activities, providing them with an opportunity to meet new people and understand new cultures.

GISA is approaching its first trip of the year to Byron Bay on May 3, which will provide its members with the opportunity to get to know each other and to learn about life in Australia.
