Help your child make a smooth transition from high school to university by attending the UQ Parent Information Evening on June 10.

Both parents and students can find out more information about the great program and study options at UQ, with information sessions covering the application process, scholarships and fees.

You can also have a chat to representatives from each UQ faculty about future study, and take one of the campus tours provided on the night.

UQ Student Recruitment Manager Dr Jessica Gallagher recommends that parents of students in years 10-12 attend the evening.

"It is never to early to start considering options after high school or collecting information to assist with making an informed decision. This event provides parents and prospective students with an opportunity to speak to UQ staff and students," Dr Gallagher said.

"There are so many options for students these days that it is important to find out as much information as possible when making a decision about what to do after finishing high school.

"At UQ we acknowledge that parents want to help their sons and daughters with this process as much as possible and so this event has be designed to give them the information that they need to provide advice and help their children make a smooth transition from high school to university."

The Parent Information Night will be held on June 10 in the UQ Centre at the St Lucia campus from 4.30pm-7.30pm.

You can book your place at the free event and find out about UQ programs, services and facilities, entry requirements, costs and scholarships, register online or contact the student recruitment team on (07) 3346 7752.

Free parking in the UQ Centre car park is provided, with parking vouchers available from UQ Student Ambassadors and from the general information desk in the UQ Centre.
