The University of Queensland Business School has had its Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation renewed for the fourth time since becoming the first business school in Australia to gain accreditation.

Academic Dean and Head of School Professor Julie Cogin said AACSB accreditation was one of the highest standards of achievement for business schools and placed the School within the top five per cent worldwide.

“This five-year accreditation reinforces our position as a world-class business school leading the charge in innovation, technology and business education,” Professor Cogin said.

“UQ Business School is world-renowned for its impressive research, teaching staff and experts, and for its collaborative approach to education.

“The School has worked hard to maintain its position as an international leading business schools despite increasing competition from universities all over the world.

“Earning and maintaining this accreditation takes significant determination, and is testament to the fact that we are constantly striving to push boundaries, think bigger, and tackle the business challenges and opportunities of tomorrow,” Professor Cogin said.

The UQ Business School’s MBA program was ranked number one in Australia and the Asia Pacific and sixteenth worldwide by The Economist in 2017, and was awarded five stars by the Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA), Australia’s most influential rating body for the 13th year running.
