UQ graduate and Queensland Rhodes Scholar, Simon Quinn, has been awarded a prestigious fellowship at the University of Oxford.
Mr Quinn who has a Bachelor of Laws (hons) and Bachelor of Economics (hons) from UQ is the recipient of a Prize Fellowship at All Souls College, Oxford.
The College elects candidates on the basis of written examinations in a candidate’s specialised subject and also in more general, together with an interview. Subjects examined include law, history, politics, philosophy, economics, classics, and English literature.
The College of All Souls of the Faithful Departed, of Oxford, was founded by Henry VI and Henry Chichele, on 20 May 1438. Today the College is primarily an academic research institution at the University of Oxford, with strong ties to the public domain.
Mr Quinn was the 2005 Queensland Rhodes Scholar and recently completed an MPhil in Economics at Oxford. He is now commencing the DPhil.
