Election of professional staff representative to UQ Senate

Mr Mark Starkey has been elected as the professional staff representative to the 33^rd Senate of The University of Queensland for 2014 – 2017.

In accordance with the decision taken by Senate at its 28 November 2013 meeting to re-run the Professional Staff election, and as per the University of Queensland Act 1998 and the University Statute 1, the ballot count for the election of one professional staff member to Senate was conducted on Tuesday, 10 December 2013.

UQ Director of Academic Administration and Returning Officer Karen Wheeler said Mr Starkey was the successful candidate.
