1 October 2013

University of Queensland students, staff and visitors will be affected by bus route and timetables changes from 14 October.

TransLink officers will officers will be on duty at the UQ Chancellors Place and UQ Lakes bus stops in the week before the changes to provide information to commuters.

The impacts on direct services to and from the University of Queensland are:

Route 109: This service will be amalgamated with route 66 to create the UQ Lakes to RBWH Busway Service. The combined route will be operated as Route 66. Woolloongabba Station and Adelaide Street Stop 16 will no longer be serviced by the new route. Passengers previously using Adelaide Street Stop 16 will be able to board the new service at King George Square or Roma Street.

Route 209: This service will operate hourly on weekends.

Route 402: This service will no longer operate on Saturdays and the last service will leave UQ Chancellor’s Place at about 8pm on weekdays.

Route 414: The new route will travel along Gailey Rd from Heroes Avenue to Swann Road then into Carmody Rd to Chancellor’s Place instead of Sir Fred Schonell Drive.

TransLink advises that other connecting routes will be affected.

More information on the changes can be found here.

An updated Translink Journey Planner is now available.
