This year The University of Queensland’s Gatton Campus is hosting three Walkway Markets to be held on Thursday 22 March, 17 May and 18 October.

UQ Gatton’s Campus Director, Janelle Zahmel, encouraged members of the community to come along and support the stallholders on Thursday.

“This is the third market we have held and it is definitely one of the highlights of our Campus social calendar,” Ms Zahmel said.

“This year in addition to stalls we are also having teams from the Relay for Life running a Sideshow Alley with various games and some fun prizes to win.

“If you come along at midday also make sure you take part in some games as UQ Sport is running egg-and-spoon, three-legged and wheel barrow races which will provide some good entertainment,” she said.

Products on sale include Greek food, eggs, fruit, vegetables, olives, snow cones, edible bouquets, plants, crafts, creams, spreads, embroidery, jewellery, sunglasses and clothing.

The UQ Gatton Walkway Markets are supported by the Lockyer Valley Regional Council and will run from 10am to 2pm in the Central Walkway in front of the Dining Hall (Building 8125).

Parking is available in the Temporary Car Park between Thynne and Pitt Halls (just follow the Inner Ring Road and signs to the Halls of Residence).
