The process for the development of a new Master Plan for The University of Queensland’s St Lucia Campus has begun.

The Master Plan will provide a strategic planning framework to guide the future evolution of the campus.

Consultation with some of the key members of the University’ s executive staff started in late October with broader stakeholder engagements set to occur within the first quarter of 2012.

UQ Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor Michael Keniger believes that the Master Planning process provides a unique opportunity to shape the future vision for the iconic campus.

“It is very early days in the process but we want to ensure that those people that value The University of Queensland, be that students, staff, alumni, the broader community and more have their chance to be involved," he said.

“This is a great opportunity to reflect our position as one of Australia¹s premier learning and research institutions both now and in future.”

The initial process is being managed by the Property & Facilities Division and any queries or comments should be directed to the Director of Property & Facilities, Alan Egan at: pf@pf.uq.edu.au

An opportunity for broader community input is expected to occur in the first quarter of 2012.
