The University of Queensland’s Parenting and Family Support Centre is holding a free Flood Recovery Triple P seminar – a special parenting seminar with information and suggestions to help parents understand and cope with their child’s post-flood emotions and behaviours – at St Lucia.

This seminar has been created specifically for all Queensland parents and was developed at the Parenting and Family Support Centre, University of Queensland, by creators of the well-known Triple P – Positive Parenting Program.

Flood Recovery Triple P will be held at The University of Queensland on Monday, June 6th from 6:30 – 8:30pm in the Forgan Smith Building Room E302 and will offer parents insights into:
• Common triggers for distress
• Why some children are more affected than others
• What you can expect from your child after the flood
• Parent Traps
• How to manage children’s emotions
• Answering children’s questions
• What happens next?

The session will be presented by Dr. Vanessa Cobham – Clinical Psychologist at The University of Queensland.
