Physiotherapists from The University of Queensland, in conjunction with the Motor Accident Insurance Commission, are reviewing the publication 'Whiplash Injury Recovery: A Self-Management Guide' in preparation for producing the 2nd edition of the publication.

This publication aims to assist people with whiplash understand and manage their condition.

As such, it is important to ensure the Guide is meeting the information needs of people with whiplash.

The UQ physiotherapists are therefore asking people who have had whiplash to participate in the review process.

The review will provide information relating to two important questions:
1. What is the best way to provide people with information about whiplash?
2. Does the Guide provide the information about whiplash that people want?

Researchers are particularly interested in obtaining the views of people living in rural and regional Queensland.

Anyone over 18 years of age who currently has, or have had a whiplash injury within the past three years can participate in the review by taking part in a telephone interview. The current booklet will be sent to them and interviewees can nominate a convenient day and time for the interview.
