UQ Business School’s Alumni Association will this week launch its Alumnus of the Year award to recognise the contribution of UQ Business School graduates.
Eligible graduates will demonstrate a significant contribution to business, government, or the community.
Alumni Association Committee member Ben Cleary said the winner would receive a place on one of UQ Business School’s Corporate Education courses for 2010.
“The award is a fantastic opportunity to help kick-start the winner’s early career,” he said.
“The winner gets to attend one of UQ Business School’s high quality week-long intensive courses enabling them to extend their learning as well as providing a valuable networking opportunity.”
Mr Cleary said the awards were open to graduates of UQ Business School and its predecessor institutions.
“Anyone who holds a UQ business qualification at Bachelor, Masters, or PhD level – and is under 40 years of age as of today – is eligible to nominate,” he said.
“Graduates must demonstrate leadership qualities and be able to provide evidence of a significant contribution to their profession, industry, or community.”
“You can nominate yourself at http://www.business.uq.edu.au/display/connect/Alumnus+of+the+Year+Award .”
Nominations close at 5pm (Brisbane time) on Friday, October 2. To find out more contact alumni@business.uq.edu.au.
