UQ has subscribed to Goinglobal, a leading worldwide careers and employment resource.
Students and staff now have unlimited access to the database which contains country career guides, corporate profiles and more than 100,000 international internship and job openings.
Mark Korst, Graduate Employment Coordinator, said Goinglobal provided a great online resource for UQ students seeking career advice and information on overseas employment in specific countries worldwide.
“Goinglobal is a tremendous resource and links UQ students and graduates to potential employers from all over the world,” Mr Korst said.
“UQ degrees are highly regarded internationally and this subscription enhances the potential for overseas employers to form UQ contacts.”
Goinglobal contains more than 30,000 pages of constantly-updated content on topics such as work permit/visa regulations, resume writing guidelines and examples, employment trends, salary ranges, networking groups, and cultural/interviewing advice.
UQ students and staff have secure and full access to Goinglobal via a link in UQ CareerHub, www.careerhub.uq.edu.au.
UQ CareerHub is a free online employment service where local, national and international employers advertise graduate, international and vacation employment opportunities, as well as internships and work experience.
The CareerHub provides an opportunity for employers to specifically target UQ students and graduates.
Goinglobal was added to the UQ CareerHub on Thursday, October 11.
