The University of Queensland will offer a limited number of places in the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC) mid-year offer round for commencement in second semester 2004.
University Admissions Manager Christine O’Loughlin said further places across a range of programs would be offered at UQ’s St Lucia, Ipswich and Gatton campuses for suitably qualified applicants.
“Prospective students who were too late in applying for first semester or whose circumstances now allow them to undertake study, will not have to wait until 2005 to commence studies,” she said.
“The increased demand for mid-year entry indicates that students value the flexibility this intake provides when pursuing tertiary study options.”
Ms O’Loughlin said while high demand for places at UQ could mean entry scores remained fairly competitive, programs at UQ Ipswich and Gatton campuses were expected to have cut-off scores similar to those required for first semester.

The closing date for on-time mid-year applications will be Monday, May 24, 2004.
The Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre will make first round offers on Thursday June 17, with the final round scheduled for Wednesday, July 14.
