Large groups

Groups of more than 12 people must use our onsite catering service.

Small-group self-catering

If you’re travelling solo or in a small group of 12 or less, you can bring your own food.

You can prepare meals in our well-equipped kitchens in the house, cabin or cottage.

You can also use the upstairs researcher’s kitchen and lounge in the main station building.

You’ll find several supermarkets and grocery stores, as well as restaurants, cafes and takeaway shops, in Dunwich and Point Lookout.

Alcohol consumption

The station is predominantly dry. Under some circumstances we can serve alcohol with catered meals in the dining room. Email our Station Manager at mbrs.manager@uq.edu.au for details.
