Booking steps

1. Think about your teaching/research needs

Consider the size of your group, the facilities and equipment you’ll want to use, the activities you plan to take part in, and what time of year you want to visit.

2. Contact us

Contact us to check availability of your preferred dates.

Book as far in advance as possible. Groups from outside UQ can book up to 12 months in advance; UQ groups can book for further ahead.

3. Apply for permits

Apply for permits for research and teaching activities, and commercial filming well in advance of your stay with us.

Apply early to avoid disappointment.

You must include a copy of any required permits with your application.

4. Submit paperwork and finalise your booking

Download, complete and email your booking application form (PDF, 130.3 KB) to us at mbrs@uq.edu.au.

UQ visitors must also complete a Request for Internal Services Quote (requires UQ login).

5. Complete your online induction

Complete your online induction before you start activities at Moreton Bay Research Station.

6. Pack your bags!
