AIBN buildingThe Trau Lab aims to develop strong research training programs for early career researchers, and these have included postdoctoral researchers, PhD, masters, honours and undergraduate students. The laboratory attempts to create a multi-disciplinary environment that allows early career researchers to become fundamentally grounded in colloid and interface chemistry research, while being simultaneously exposed and challenged by important cross-disciplinary and applied problems (e.g., the application of innovative nanostructures to biological and biomedical problems). The lab has hosted and trained 30 early career postdoctoral researchers, 20 PhD students (6 graduating in the last 5 years), 42 masters students, 28 honours research students and over 50 undergraduate research students, along with many international student visitors and research scholars.
