The Australia High Commission, New Delhi, India, has invited University of Queensland participation, in the second Australian Innovation Showcase to be held in India from 15 September to 15 October 2014.

The Showcase is an initiative of the Australian Trade Commission, and the Australian Government, to demonstrate Australia's world class research, technology and industries to India.

The event will involve a month long series of targeted events and meetings across major innovation hubs in India to promote Australia as a strategic partner for Indian corporates in research and development, innovation, and quality higher education.

The program will run from 15 September to 15 October 2014 and will highlight Australia's research capability in knowledge-based industries where we have a world class offering including ICT, life sciences and biotechnology, advanced manufacturing and materials science, clean energy and agribusiness.

Tailored meetings, briefings with Indian industry, speaking or presentation slots at relevant industry events and interactive workshops with Indian businesses will be held in key cities including Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune and New Delhi.

The key activities of Australian Innovation Showcase 2014 are:

  1. Australian Life Sciences & Health Care Mission to India
  2. Australian Materials Science & Advanced Manufacturing Mission to India
  3. Australian ICT Mission to India
