- Metals are essential components of all living cells, and this will be highlighted at this year’s Metals in Biology symposium. Our main speaker in 2019 is Prof. Ralf Mendel (TU Braunschweig) an expert in the cell biology of molybdenum, and essential metal in humans, plants and bacteria.
This main seminar will be followed by afternoon tea, a poster session, and three shorter presentations by ECR researcher covering topic in structural biology, infectious diseases and metal homeostasis in humans. The two best posters on topics that focus on metals in biological systems will receive a people’s choice poster prize.
