Event Description
- Full Description:
- Indigenous Voices of Queensland is an online resource created by the Library to preserve and improve public access to audio recordings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people speaking Indigenous languages from across Queensland. The resource features recordings made during the 1960s and 1970s by linguists and anthropologists Elwyn Flint, Bruce Rigsby and Bruce Sommer. We hope the resource will help to deepen knowledge of First Nation languages and assist communities with language recovery and education.
