- This workshop will present and introduce the UQ Research Data Manager (UQRDM) system.
Participants are invited to bring a laptop should they wish to follow along with the set-up instructions in the workshop.
UQ Research Data Manager (UQRDM) is a system designed and developed at UQ to provide researchers and Higher Degree Research (HDR) students with a facility to practice good stewardship of research data. The system integrates with HR, ethics and grants to easily keep track of important project-related information.
IT Specialist, Owen Powell, and Informatics Fellow, Aswin Narayanan will be available to answer any technical questions.
9.30 am - 10.30 am
The first part of this workshop will include a UQRDM seminar and time for questions
10.30 am - 11.00 am (optional)
The second part of this workshop is optional and will be a 30-minute hands-on activ ity creating a project record on UQRDM
*Participants who wish to attend this activity are encouraged to bring their own laptops as these will not be provided (but are not required to attend).
This session will enable participants to:
- set up a project record and apply for data storage
- collaboratively work on project data with national and international researchers
- access project data from multiple sites (both on or off-campus)
- learn best practice for using data collections
- learn best practice of sharing sensitive and confidential data
