Event Description

Full Description:
Physical inactivity as a modifiable risk factor for colorectal cancer accounts for the highest attributable percentage of worldwide deaths from this disease. The relationship between exercise and cancer survivorship has led to an interesting field of exercise oncology making exciting discoveries. This presentation will explore the scientific links between exercise and cancer survivorship, evidence for the safety and efficacy of exercise in this population, and discussions on the optimal ‘dose’ of exercise for people living with and beyond colorectal cancer.
