Aiming to enhance current historical understanding of the Second Sino-Japanese War and consolidate UQ’s reputation as a global leader in the humanities and social sciences, this conference brings together top scholars from all over the world to share their insights on a transformational period in modern Asian history. By becoming a hub for scholars interested in Asian affairs, this conference will allow UQ to become an intellectual center that could foster cooperation among leading academics from all corners of the globe. By allowing young academics to interact with senior practitioners, this event will foster the intellectual growth of a new generation of scholars in UQ that will soon become leaders in their respective fields.
