The aim of this workshop is provide industry practitioners with:
- leading-edge research insights into the human factors of risk management in industry contexts,
- the opportunity to workshop approaches to improve control of workplace risks.

Dr Maureen Hassall BEng (1st class), BSc(Psych), MBA, PhD
Maureen Hassall is an Associate Professor and director of UQ R!SK, an leading-edge intiaitive that crosses the field of industrial risk and human factors, at The University of Queensland. Maureen works collaboratively with industry to develop better human-centred risk management approaches that improve companies’ operational performance and competitiveness.
Maureen's industry-focused research is motivated by 18 years of industry experience working in a number of different countries and in a variety of roles including specialist engineering, line management, organisational change and business performance improvement roles.
Maureen also delivers risk management and human factors training, education and advice to undergraduate and postgraduate students and well as directly to industry.
